Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe)
WISe helps individuals and their families receive intensive behavioral health support at home and in the community. WISe is a voluntary service built around your families unique needs and goals. A team of professionals and natural supports work together with you to create a plan that makes sense for your life.

WISe is for individuals up to age 20 who have complex mental health needs. It brings together a team, including professionals and people you trust, to support your family’s goals.
WISe services are:
- Flexible: Delivered where and when they work best for you.
- Supportive: Crisis services are available 24/7 from people who know your family situations
- Team-based: You help create the plan, and your team helps make it happen.

Who’s on your WISe team

You may qualify if you:
- Are 20 or younger
- Have complex behavioral health needs
- Are eligible for Apple Health (Medicaid)
To find out, complete a screening with a WISe provider agency in your county.
Who can request a screening?
- Individuals age 13 or older can ask for one themselves.
- Parent/caregivers can request one for children under 13.
- After age 13, individuals must agree to participate in services.

- How to get WISe services

- Complete a WISe screen using the Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) screening tool (26 questions) either over the phone or in-person. Learn more about the tool.
- Based on the results:
- If eligible: You'll be connected with a WISe provider agency. They'll assign a team to work with your family.
- If not eligible: You'll be referred to other mental health services that fit your needs.

WISe services are accessed through community behavioral health provider agencies. Your primary care provider or health plan will help you find these benefits and coordinate your care when necessary.

Get involved
Join your local Family, Youth, and System Partner Round Table (FYSPRT) — a community forum where families, youth, and professionals work together to improve behavioral health services like WISe. FYSPRTs are an important part of a governance structure that includes the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Work Group (CYBHWG) and is working to make improvements to the children's behavioral health system.
You can also share your experience through a WISe program survey, which helps shape the future of services.
